Unlock hidden gems: Grading Guides

If you’ve been following me for a while, chances are you’ve got quite a few of my units tucked into your planning folder by now (yay!). But I want to ask you something important:

Are you actually taking advantage of everything included in those units?

I know how it goes -you're excited to dive in, maybe a little time-poor, and before you know it, you've skipped over a few helpful extras to get straight into the teaching. No judgment - we've all been there!

But there’s one inclusion I really don’t want you to forget about:

🎯 The Grading Guides

These little gems are built into all of my version 9 units and maths programs and are designed to make your reporting life 10x easier.

They take about two of the unit’s activities, worksheets, or assessments and clearly show what an A–E grade looks like for that specific task.

If you haven't seen one of these before, here is what the one from the Year 4 Geography unit looks like:

✔️ Easy to use

✔️ Linked directly to the curriculum
✔️ Clear and consistent language
✔️ A huge time-saver when assigning grades

No matter the subject you are teaching (because I pretty much have them all covered) the grading guides help take the guesswork out of grading.

So, before you spend another Sunday night agonising over who’s a B or a C, go back into your unit folders and check—is there a grading guide there ready to help?

If you’ve never noticed them before, now is the perfect time to start using them!
