This Design & Technologies Unit features fun, engaging and cooperative learning strategies to investigate electrical energy and can control movement, sound or light in a designed product or system.
It is a 10-week unit, aligned to the Australian Curriculum. This unit has been a consistent hit every year with my students. To keep lessons simple and succinct, the planner features five to six steps for each lesson. Teachers need to use their own skill to ensure the lessons remain explicit and teaching opportunities are not missed.
- Planner (7 pages)
- Lesson resources including answer keys (44 pages)
Australian Curriculum Alignment:
- Knowledge and Understanding: ACTDIP021

Please note, this unit requires batteries, wires and alligator clips for a couple of the lessons as well as the use of a building kit that has a battery component such as a Lego or Meccano set.
