  In this unit, students explore influences on the environment, with a focus on Australia, America and Europe.
• Australian Colonies Unit
  In this unit, students learn about colonial life in Australia and significant people, groups, developments and events that shaped colonies.
• Australian Government Unit
  In this unit, students learn about the key features of a democracy and the electoral process, as well as how and why laws are enforced.
• Needs & Wants Unit
  In this unit, students explore needs and wants and their impact on real-world problems and decisions.

• Biological Sciences Unit
  In this unit, students explore how living things have structural features and adaptations that help them to survive in their environment.
  
• Chemical Science Unit
  In this unit, students explain observable properties of solids, liquids and gases by modelling the motion and arrangement of particles.
  
• Earth & Space Unit
  In this unit, students describe how weathering, erosion, transportation and deposition cause slow or rapid change to the Earth’s surface (version 9) or exploring how Earth is part of a system of planets orbiting around the sun, covering the Australian Curriculum Version 8.4 outcomes for Physical Sciences (version 8.4).

  In this unit, students identify sources of light and how it can create shadows and be reflected and refracted.

  In this unit, students investigate characteristics and properties of a range of materials, systems, components, tools and equipment and evaluate the impact of their use.
• Algorithms Unit
  In this unit, students define problems and algorithms and explore how solutions satisfy the design criteria and user stories.
